    Default HELP! (hairstyle question)

I found a picture of a lovely hairstyle that I'd like to recreate. It reminds me of a style that a woman from Republican Rome or Hellenistic Greece would wear. If anyone has any ideas of how to recreate it or knows a similar style previously posted, please let me know.

    Picture from Anthropolgie's Facebook page.

Welp, I couldn't see the picture when I previewed my post, so here is a link to it on Flickr: http://www.flickr.com/photos/32349280@N03/4465799956/.

I think that is based on this photo. How lame is it that I had it saved on my computer?
Was here, left too rock a pixie, came back when I accidently went WO and realized THIS IS ON.

You know, you are entirely correct. So I'm guessing the only thing I will need is a TEAM OF PROFESSIONAL HAIR STYLISTS & PHOTOGRAPHERS to achieve this look?

I don't think it's lame...but then again, I have a ridiculous amount of pictures from Anthropologie saved on my 'puter.

Does anyone have any suggestions for more achievable looks similar to this one? I think the things I like most about it are that it is reminiscent of ancient styles & it looks kind of effortless & careless while remaining elegant.

I guess if you don't mind straightening, back combing, tight bungy grips and bobby pins, the video link by Curlylocks85 could be quite helpful.

I watched the video & it seemed to be a lot more trouble that it's worth. It looks like my hair would be one giant snarl once I took it out, & I don't think it looks as nice as the silhouette picture. I'll have to do use some google-fu to see if I can find anything re: historical hairstyles from B.C.

I can't wear my hair up that high because it pulls something fierce. However, if it was shorter I might manage it, maybe. At least he didn't back comb it with a comb.
    Change is the only constant.

okay first you need a really tall, skinny Tupperware thingy you place it on your head and wrap your hair around it and curl the excess. I think that would achieve the same look. I've heard of really tall beehives done this way maybe it will work

You would probably have to do a lot of teasing to get that stiff shape her do has.
