I filled this out in the archive when My hair was tailbone, so I'll update it.

Goal hair length:
At it. Thickening ends now. May grow longer later.

When did you start growing your hair?
6 years old, had waist length to almost tailbone length until 5 and a half years ago, then cut it to mid back, growing out from then on.

What is your average monthly growth rate?
0.5 inches

Do you trim your hair, if so how often?
Now whenever it grows past 45.5". That could be every months or every 3 months depending on stalls. Usually though... whenever I remember, which isn't often.

What supplements do you take?
MSM and sillica, both also for other things, not just hair. I forget to take them quite a bit too.

Do you eat any special foods for hair growth/nutrition etc?
Not really. In general the foods I eat normally are hair friendly.

Do you do scalp massages?
Yes. Without oil daily or every other day if I don't unbraid my hair. With oil if scalp feels dry, itchy or otherwise iffy. Pre-wash scalp oiling with massage.

What is your favourite shampoo?
None. I use Burt's bees once in a blue moon when I really need to clarify and can't henna. I use herbs instead. Mixes of shikakai, aritha or soapwart.

What is your favourite conditioner?
None. I use herbs. Favorite conditioning herbs are hibiscus, fenugreek and marshmallow root.

Favourite leave-in conditioner?
Oshima Tsubaki (Japanese Camellia oil), Coconut oil and shea butter mix on the ends.

Favourite deep conditioner or treatment?
Henna, cassia, fenugreek+buttermilk.

What are your favourite basic oils?
Camellia oil, Coconut oil, herbal mixes in sesame base.

What are your favourite essential oils?
Jatamansi, Lavander, orange.

What is your favourite product of all time?
Maybe Kama Neelibringradi oil.

What is your least favourite product of all time?
Store bought hair gel, hair will wilt at the though of it.

Is there anything you would never put on your hair? (-cones/quats etc)
I'm sensitive to sulfate detergents (itching galore) and cones don't make me happy either. Other milder detergents just give me too dry hair and scalp.

What do you like most about your hair?
I like the color. Chestnut brown. ^_^

What do you like least about your hair?
Tapers, a lot. The tape is reducing with better care and post shed regrowth so it currently starts at about BSL. Used to be super fluffy, but that problem was fixed via Boxwood comb, which doesn't produce static and use of herbs and oils.

Do you colour your hair?
I henna occasionally. The color doesn't really show up on my hair but I don't use body art quality.

Do you clarify?
Yes, usually with henna.

How often do you wash your hair?
Once a week to two weeks. As needed.

How long does it take to dry?
6 to 10 hours depending on humidity and sun. Much longer if not wet indefinitely if confined in any way.

Do you prefer you hair up or down?
Up, I'm used to having it tied back as it has been for most of my life. It annoys me when down for longer than an hour.

What is your favourite updo?
Depending on time of the year. Braided buns or log rolls for winter. Bun with a tail of loose ends for the warmer months.

Bangs or no bangs?
No bangs, my hair is too uncontrolable for them. They would be sticking at odd angles from my head. Think Einstein hair.

Whose hair at LHC do you aspire to?
Hmm.. Not sure. I have plenty of hair twins with impressive hair. So I'll just go with my own with a bit less taper and maybe longer.

Do you keep a hair journal?
Yes. Amazingly I've kept up with it. It's the first journal/blog I have managed to keep.

How many hairtoys do you own?
Way too many.

What is your favourite hairtoy?
Ficcare maximas, large, tricolor purple.

Brush or comb?
Comb. Medium to wide tooth, wood. Brushes don't agree with my hair usually.

Do you use hot styling aids on your hair irons/blowdryer etc?
Nope, done own any, never have.

Do you make/sell any hair care products?
I make my hair wash mixes from herbs and some oil mixes for my own use. I don't sell anything.

What is the last hair-related thing that you bought?
Sleep caps. My old one got stretched to oblivion.

Brie, a smelly cheese!

When I 10 years old, I had my waist length hair in a braid. My very young cousin, under 1 year old, decided it was a toy, when I bent down to greet her and it fell over my shoulder. It took two people, several minutes and lots of screaming from the baby to pry my hair from her grasp. The child sure had a death grip.
