    Default headband headache

I think headbands are really cute, but they always give me a headache so I always end up chucking it in my bag half way through the day. Does anyone recognize this and, even better, maybe knows a solution?

I'm still looking for headbands that fit comfortably for the whole day! I find that I have to keep changing the position of my headbands throughout the day for them to stay comfortable. Sometimes, they just hurt because they're the wrong size. Although I've added padding, like strips of craft foam, to headbands that were too big and this makes them a bit more bearable. Sometimes, it just takes a simple repositioning of the headband to make it feel better (: HTH

I feel the same! But I know there probably isn't a solution... Even bobby pins give me huge headaches. Any sort of pressure on my head makes it hurt.

I only wear metal ones that can handle me reshaping them to my apparently large head by the small size they seem to come in.

I have this problem sometimes. I'm not sure if it's the pressure or more that the roots of my hair don't really like to be put in a different angle.

I have the same problem with the really thick/hard headbands. I have some really flimsy-ish headbands that I wear sometimes, but my favorite ones that don't give me any headache at all are these soft plastic, pliable ones from walmart that have an elastic band that goes back behind your head. My biggest problem with headbands is slippage. They always fall forward and are within a centimeter of my hairline. But these don't. They stay in place and they mold to your head very easily. Really nice. And they come in all kinds of designs but they're all black and tortoiseshell. Maybe you should give those a try.

I have a big head and have a hard time finding a comfortable head band. The wide ones hit on a place on my skull behind my ears and are very painful in a short time. I have a couple skinny plastic ones I can wear. One is a France Luxe brand and the other is a WM cheapie. The ones with the elastic at the nape pop right off my head.

I have a hard time with any headband that ends behind the ears, they always pinch and give me a headache. I usually wear the thick cloth strips that go all the way around my head, I guess those distribute the pressure enough so that it doesn't cause any pain. Unfortunately they slip.

I do this too, but always to make them narrower.

Any headband that can be re-shaped is probably the best option.

I forgot to mention I only wear the cloth ones that go all the way around the head and usually have some elastic in the back. Sometimes the elastic part in the back slips up a bit though and it pushes the hair upwards -> the roots are put in a different angle and it starts to hurt after a while.
