Default Temporary hair dye after henna?

I coloured my hair with henna (ot the pure one) in September, and it has become an ugly red colour. It doesnt suit me. It has faded but I still don't like it and want to dye back to dark brown, is it safe to use semi-permanent hair color, or is it dangerous to do that? Has anyone dyed after henna?

Yes ive dyed a few times after henna and again hennaed over the dye without any problems,i heard you do have to watch out what kind of henna you've used,Anything with metals in it isnt good, but maybe someone who knows the exact details about that can tell you more
From what i know Lush is save and thats all i use,i dyed over it with L'oreal.

Hi Avital, your hair is GOOOORGEOUS!!!! I guess the henna I used was not pure, but with metals. I want to dye my hair with palette semi-permanent color, but I'm worried that it'll damage my hair.

Collect some shed hairs and test the dye on those first. It's the only way you'll know for sure what the dye will do.
