I used to only have to tilt my head forward to unhook my bra. Now I have to move my hair in front of my shoulders to get to it!

My hair is now long enough for an infinity bun! *just*

YAY. I've been so bored of the standard cinnabun, but couldn't get anything else involving hairsticks to work...

I'm pretty sure I only need a tiny bit more length to manage a nautilus, too. I'm at BSL - does that sound right? I tried to do it before, and thought I managed it, but it wouldn't stay up... I'm also nearly there with a braided cinnabun, need another two inches or so since the english braid eats my length. I can do it with a rope braid, but really need a decent pin to hold the aggressively blunt ends.

I'm so looking forward to being able to do lots of awesome styles. I'm working on a french braid, too - I can manage on DBF, but I still need more practice to do it on myself.

Can I have waist length hair for Christmas?

I'm finally two inches past my goal length, which means I can start trimming every six weeks or so to keep my ends and hemline looking good, without worrying about losing length (I used to trim every 3-4 months). I can also start growing my layers out more easily since the overall length isn't going to change.

When I do "downward facing dog" in yoga with my hair loose, it brushes the ground! Exciting!

Only a sort of milestone, but worth noting. This week I've had my first comment related to donating, and about getting a cut generally. My eldest brother visited, I had my hair freshly washed and air-drying: "Time for a haircut. *scissor-fingers* " "Nah, it doesn't tickle the back of my knees yet. "
And then yesterday, my mother said "If you ever cut your hair..." and proceeded to tell me about a girl she'd read about in the local paper who'd donated her hair for wigs for sick children. She didn't tell me to do it, to her credit, just said "if" rather than "do." I calmly explained some of the points I've read here about donating; synthetic wigs being easier to care for, LoL's iffy business practises, etc. It was an amiable discussion.

Does this mean I've reached - two inches before hip - 'past normal' length?

I discovered tonight I can finally but my hair in a low side pony tail or plait (maybe also known as braid?) it without all my layers falling out!
