My first mini milestone - I've had my hair up every day for the last 2 weeks.

My plan is to do this until my birthday in August without trying to measure in the meantime, and then see what growth I've had.

That is such a great plan! Enjoy it, such a great present

OK, one thing i've been wondering now though since i tried it, but trying to ignore your hair while washing is well...kind of...HARD! So how do you do it?

I am able to put my hair up into a messy bun and it actually stays, minus the dreaded bangs.

Just put it behind your back, love. Don't focus on stretching to see how far it goes, just wash and condition and forget the rest. Easier said than done, but you'll get there

I wore a nautilus bun with one hairstick to work today. It's the first time I have worn a hair stick to work. Before. I always used bobby pins or claw clips, because a hair stick wasn't secure enough. Well today my hairstick bun held like the Rock of Gibralter and I love than I can just slide it out and my hair comes tumbling down.
