Yay for more mini milestones!
I just measured at 21 inches!
Okay, this is probably really weird as well as embarrassing.
Today I took my hair out of my sleep braid to comb it, when I noticed there was a shed hair (it had the little white bulb on the end) hanging down further than the rest. I tugged on it and noticed that it was a hair from my shortest grown-out layers (APL). It was so velcro-like/damaged, that it had managed to stick itself to the end of another hair so it hung down to fingertip length. This gives me hope because even though I am 2" away from hip length, classic seems so far away. It's kind of nice to know that I actually don't even need twice my current length to get to my final goal.
It is also frustrating because I want to get rid of my layers...

My very longest layer is PAST the bottom of my orthopedic triple-hooked granny-bra, if stretched.
(just a teeny bit past, but still!)
This is the first morning when my hair is not sticking upwards from my scalp. My SO hated that. I have to admit that it looked a bit too masculine on me. Yay for flat hair! I also see some growth after two weeks and it's great.

Today, for the first time I made an updo that I really like!

Today I realised that I can reach BSL if I crane my neck back a little bit!
I'm sure I'll persist in thinking my hair is too short until I'm at least waist length though

Regrowing naturally!
I started here at LHC at 26 inches.
My hair is now 32 inches.
My goal length is tailbone, which is somewhere around 36-38 inches.
This means that now I am at least HALFWAY to my goal! Yay!
don't know whether your hair is brown or red? us neither!
hit my length goal of tailbone ... now learning to maintain and aiming to reduce split ends!
My ends are finally at solid waist even when dry and curly!
Next milestone: solid hip and maintaining there for a while to thicken up the ends. I can't wait!
Last night when I rolled over I tried to lift my head and had a sharp pain on my scalp. My hair was caught under me. Yay! That's the first time anything like it has happened to me in years. It's very exciting.
Theobroma, that is a major milestone! Congratulations!
