Very pretty!
A couple of years ago (boy, does time fly!) I posted pics of my new shillelagh. Then, sometime later, I shortened it by over an inch. And now, with a bit more hair bulk as well, it snuggles into my Celtic Knot bun beautifully, and hasn't moved all day.

Thank you, sourgrl and zanelle. I could get lost in a good labradorite specimen for hours!
zanelle, the fork looks really lovely. How is it to wear?

Crystawni, Are you wearing a Celtic knot in most of your pics lately? I have been admiring the buns in many of your pics over the last month.

Yep. I've had a few problems lately with single sticks working, but my variation on the Celtic Knot helps to lock hairtoys in a lot better, while offering good balance and comfort. When my hair was shorter and thinner a few years back, I used to do something like your Spock bun for the same reasons, but find the extra bulk is a bit too awkward for finger-buns like that now.

I just ordered 4 Amish pins in 3" from quattro. One fork alone is a bit unsecure for me, so I need a bit extra support. My 4" is perfect length for me (with about 1" poking out), so I hope 3" in the pins will be good. I want them to be as hidden as possible, but I think 2.5" would be a bit small.
I ordered 4 so that I could make double buns as well, with 2 in each bun.
I'm exicted to see how they'll work and if the size is correct.
