This one. It's called Naajo henna, and I can't find much about it online other than their official website, or independant dealers that carry their products. It originates from Pakistan.

Has anyone got any experience with this brand?

    Thank you.

ETA: It says 'instant' on the package. I'm doing a strand test right now, but after about 10 minutes, it did in fact very lightly stain my skin, but it doesn't seem to be 'instant'.

Catherine checked some Naajo henna under the microscope in 2001 and found some sand and a less than superfine sift, but no green dye and no PPD. Should be okay to use for hair but not as easy to rinse as a finely sifted henna.

Thanks for the link! That's very helpful.

Also, I finished my strand test. The hair is definitely stained, but I didn't have an issue rinsing it out, and the hair feels really strong and silky. I will end up using it on my head, and let you know how it goes.

ETA: Ughn. I wouldn't recommend this stuff. My hair does feel very nice, and it did stain, but the amount of sand they've cut it with is unbelievable. I could barely get it through my hair, and trying to rinse it out (as I did after only a few minutes of trying to work it through my hair) was a complete pain.

I used gritty henna with sand. It's useable, but if you can lay your hands on better henna, do so.

Soft hair that is nice to sit on - now I'm bragging!

I have some of this. My daughter uses it and worked well in hair hair. Nice color and rinsed out nicely.

Yeah, I'm hoping to find something with better sift. This is the first time I've used something other than Lush, though, and I was amazed how quickly it stained everything. My roots are all gingery, and I had it in for less than five minutes.

Henna Sooq got a Canadian store, and henna itself well worth it. If the shipping fee weren't outrageous I would have bought it too.

Thumbs up Re: Have you seen this henna?

I just bought this yesterday at a local Indian mart for $.99 for a 100 gram box. I just put in 1 cup of warm water, applied it instantly, left in in for 2 hours and got beautiful results. Initially it was bright red/orange but has oxidized to a rich auburn. Love this stuff and can't beat the price.
