Yay...another silver sister
Come join us in The Salt & Pepper Thread!
Right after a shampoo in cold dry air I am very sleek with a bit of curl, but add humidity and I have a triple volume curl explosion LOL
I tried the curly girl method and products, and they did nothing for me; adding products to define my curls fail miserably.
My hair loves extra moisture S&C (with cones) and I just use mineral oil, or spritzes of rosewater and glycerin along with bunning to tame frizz.
In the Summer I often use a banana clip after shampooing to dry my hair and the curls burst forth on their own.
I don't need to plop; even after using a towel turban to absorb the water (15 min) my curls form as soon as I detangle.
My silver is curlier than my darker hair, and I have varied lengths of new growth, so I have resolved that I will most likely never have defined curls!
It is what it is...and I prefer a bit of poof to sleek defined curls on me anyway

Thanks Groovy Granny! I will check out the salt and pepper thread again. Working the Deva products again, which work for me but my main problem is my thin hair density. Scalp visible in some areas. The biggest problem I have is the collic in the back top center of my head. I read somewhere someone said their's was like the parting of the Red Sea! Mine too! I ordered some Deva clips and going to try the clipping method and see if I can make that work. Wish me luck! I would like to have wash and go hair and not have to use products and appliances that damage my hair. (flat iron & blowdryer)
