It did at first. I decreased my dose and upped my water intake. I gradually increased the dose I took over a few weeks after my skin cleared up. No breakouts now.
Yes I broke out
and I found a way to combat the issue
No I did not break out
I did not need to find a way to combat the issue

I broke out the cheese!
I've been considering taking Biotin, until just today I heard it can make you break out. Well, I already have problems with that, so I'm curious if anyone has found a way to combat it, or if it really doesn't make too many people break out.

I never had a problem breaking out and I started off taking 5mg/day. Lucky, I guess
I did not notice an increase in breakouts when I started taking biotin, but I take less than 2 mg daily.

I broke out when I started to take it, don't remember the does. I already have issues with my skin (PCOS=perma teen break outs, yay) so I just stopped. I figured what, if any benefit I would get from it wasn't worth the break outs.
I think people who manage to work through biotin caused break outs do it by slowly upping the dose.

I am a HUGE fan of Biotin! I have mild acne every once in a while, and always have. I have been taking 5mg of Biotin for over a year now, and I have not had any increase in acne. Some people have a problem taking it, but I never have. I love it, my nails are stronger, and my hair grows faster. I highly recomend trying it!
I think mine is about the same as it was before I started taking it.
it did for me. But i have bad skin anyways.
I just stopped taking it and it got better but i was also very stressed durring that time so i cant say it was entirely teh biotin.
No, it didn't make me break out, but I think biotin is at least partly responsible for making my skin drier. Which is good. My skin was very, very oily before.
