Wow...I can't believe it's been so long since I've posted in this thread!

I'm sure quite a few of you already know how things have gone for me, hair-wise, since the last time I was in classic-to-knee territory.

For those of you who don't, I cut back to classic length in December 2010 from lower-mid-thigh and embarked on a year of no trims for the whole of 2011. I was a little past knee length in January of 2012 and cut back again to classic at that time.

I have progress pics in my album on my profile and I regret that the links to my previously posted photos no longer work unless they're from my Photobucket album, due to me changing a LOT of things around.

But the pics in my album are length shots and they're arranged from newest to oldest.

I took a new one a few days ago, which is not in there, and I will link it from my Photobucket:

As you can see, I'm still at just a hair

past classic length because I have been maintaining here for the past few months. I haven't yet decided if I will grow again to knee length, because it has grown so thin and see-through due to so many stress- and illness-related sheds. To be honest, I feel lucky that my hair is even still growing at all, at this point. The majority of the thickness seems to be in the waist-to-hip area, and as I'm not inclined to cut that short, I guess the plan is to maintain here at classic+ and let the thickness move down if indeed it's going to. Classic length is 42.5" on my body, and my exact length right now is 44".

So for now at least, I am back here in the Classic to Knee thread.

Oh, I cannot wait to get to knee-but my ends are very sheer and damaged (4 years of dye

), my only hope to get so far is henna and indigo, maybe it will fix the split ends a bit. I just can't go back to virgin hair, that greyish dishwasher blonde is too annoying. Knee for me is about 57 inches (145cm), now at longest part of my hair is somewhere about 44 inch (113 cm).

JamieLeigh...why do you keep cutting back? It is due to thin ends? What is your favorite length?

ETA: Classic is 42" on me, which I am actually still about 1/4" shy of. Knee is exactly 10" longer.

On the subject of "unwanted stares".

My DH and I went to the Casino on the motorcycle with some friends. I had my hair in a braid and a bandana on. We stood in line paid and then turned around to the dining area. I immediately sensed that people were staring and talking about my DH and I. My DH is 6'4" and when he is all "bikered up" he looks slightly intimidating.

I just figured it was his presence and mine in the biker gear and everyone was just...looking

Well anyways I got a little uncomfortable with all the stares and whispers so I turned back around to my friends to see how they were coming along and then turned back to the dining room. Again people were sort of looking at ME and turning to other people and whispering. It was then that I realized; maybe it's my hair?

We finally were headed to be seated and as I walked down the isle I could see the stares. We got to our table and I whispered to my DH "did you see that?" He said yes. I asked "was it my hair?" He kind of chuckled and said "yeah...it was your hair."

I really had not noticed that kind of reaction before; it kind of made me feel uneasy
