Thank you for the detailed explanation. I attribute my length retention to forgoing Wash&Go’s as it caused excessive single strand knots and breakage in my hair in the past.

Now I put my hair in braids as soon as i finish washing it and applying products. Then i let it fully air dry in braids. Because of this i don’t get breakage. So it is reassuring to hear something similar from another person with tight curls.

I sometimes miss the way my hair looked before, bigger and fuller, but I don't miss detangling after I wore it out or listening to the comb snap my hair off. I'm glad you found something that works for you.

Hi, I'm on my mobile, so I hope the picture is not too enormous.
Haven't been around in a while. I've become a bit lazy with my hair. A couple of days ago I somewhat spontaneously cut my hair back 10cm. It's 5 cm above classic now. It's still a bit of a milestone because for the first time in forever, my hemline is almost entirely non see through. I'm super happy.


The before picture looks like I had some holes in my hemline. The ends were definitely thinned out, but evenly. I had some trouble with electric hair and was unable to take a decent picture with my plastic tangle teazer as a brush.

I cut so infrequent, the hair felt instantly much shorter. I was almost at my fingertips und now it barely reaches the beginning of my hands. But I was relieved to see in the mirror that it still looks long. And the hemline feels sooooo full. I was always a bit self conscious about wearing my hair down due to the wispy ends. Now, that feeling is gone and I'm happy.

Both of your before and after photos, your hair looks gorgeous! And, your hemline does look much better on the after photo! I also love the length and color of your hair as well! Your length right now is my dream length! Or, I'm trying to set my long-term goal to ankle length. The thickness of my hair is like yours too! And, I have a good feeling by then my hemline will still be as thick!

I'm in this thread now! I measured 38.5" the other day, and I think I'm just at TBL!



Classic on me, I think is somewhere around 42-43". My hope is that I'll get close by the end of the year! We shall see.
