Default Flexi-8 Large with a bun??

I've found that recently with my hair texture and length...I can barely squish somewhat of an oblong bun into my large Flexi-8. For the longest time I've always done a 3/4 damp french twist. But, with the bun a few pieces manage to fall out. I can do this quite easily once my hair has completely dry, but if I try to put it up with it still a little wet.... it is somewhat possible, but I have to work really hard to close it.

How do you use your Large Flexi-8's... and do you have a picture?

Mine won't fit all the way over my bun either, but what I do is insert the straight piece like a hairstick (catch the outside edge, go through the middle, come out near the other edge) instead of sliding it under the whole bun. That way only part of the bun is actually in the flexi, but it holds very well. I actually like the way this looks much better, anyway.

I use a large to hold my bun; it sort of looks like a bun cage over it. Surprised that this works well for me, since my hair is thin and just below shoulder length when dry. I will try to take a pic tomorrow and post it.

Well... I only have a small and a medium... but I often use the medium in buns that only require a stick behind part of the hair, like this:

The "pencil bun" and the lazy wrap bun both work well for this... My medium is quite tight with both though. With thicker hair I would think a large would work well.

I have an XL rather than a large. I seldom use it. I've done cortese's folded braid style with it. (A picture of me can be seen here.)

I usually use my large for French twists, like so:

I haven't had any luck using it on a bun.

I used to be able to use my large in a bun, but now if my bun isn't exactly the right size/shape it won't go over or it won't hold well. So I've started using it in a lazy wrap bun instead, which works very well. On the other hand, I tried Eresh's "bun under toy" and I can do that one with just a small.

I only use the large Flexi8 on a Lazy Wrapped Bun.

I can get a large flexi-8 over the skinny middle of a figure 8 bun. Also, it will work to hold a lazy wrap, but the clip gets buried in there.
