I can't say anything about curls, I never noticed any difference.
All I can say is that I use it with yogurt, mixed with other powders. My hair loves it, but I really don't see any difference about curls.
It's not drying at all for me, and not darkening my hair, but my hair is already dark brown so maybe it would darken blond or light brown hair I don't know !

bumping for recipes? I bought some amla powder recently and after using it with cassia, I wanted to try it alone.
Hi!
You say it can be very drying if used alone, so in what proportion do you usually use it? I would like to try it mixed with cassia and conditioner or coconut milk.
Thanks!
I've made and amla powder and lavender "tea" to sprits. I haven't tried amla on my face, but I'm trying to find a good use for the powder and it always leave a coating on my hair I don't like, so I will try to make a face scrub from it instead.
I think amla powder acts differently depending on the hardness of the water.
How much amla should I add to a henna mix for curl retention? I would use the same amount of henna, just less cassia.
