ID & Passport Photos - how do you wear your hair?

I have to renew my passport before a trip to NZ next summer and am thinking not only about the updo V's down debate but the colour... at the moment my hair is hennaed purple and has 3 big fat neon pink streaks.
I'll be using just henna from now on so by the time I'm leaving next July this short fringed bob in pink will hopefully be past shoulder and dark indigo... so I wont even look like the same girl

I had my ID picture taken recently and I did fuss about the hairstyle to wear. I went for a messy top nautilus bun and I must say I am very happy with how that turned out. My face is as round as the Moon, so the top bun looks very good in the picture, it´s the best ID picture I ever had.
