My hair is sooooo dry right now so I'm going to give this one last shot before I throw in the towel.

I have Inecto Coconut Conidtioner coming my way to play with!

I'm ditching the CO method for a while because my hair has been shedding so much and I'm afraid it may be because of CO. I'm going to experiment with BS/ACV with a periodic shampooing with sulfates to see if the shedding diminishes.

Thanks, Caadam. When I was using mainly my homemade herbal rinse, I would only shed about 10 hairs per wash, but because it never got squeaky clean, I tried CO, which made it squeaky for a little while, but also caused more shedding. Still looking for the holy grail....

Hmmm would CO washing be affected by hard-water? Would it be a good idea to clarify more than usual?

Thank you for the advice, fridgee. I was (and still am) doing daily citric acid rinses plus occasional ION hard water treatments and it still wasn't enough. I may try the club soda, as that is something I haven't experimented with. I've also thought about trying to make something similar to the ION treatment using citric and ascorbic acid and using that weekly.

    Thanks again for the suggestions!

It's possible they were confusing it with Silicone Quaternium-18, which is a sort of cationic hybrid 'cone (^(oo)^)

I was looking through some old hair photos from when I first joined LHC, and I am now thoroughly convinced that for my hair at least, CO = magic. I knew my hair was in better condition, but I hadn't realized how much it had improved until I looked at the photos side by side.

Your hair is crazy impressive. I think I could probably see my reflection in it.
