Henna turned brown?
This is the first time i've use powdered henna, before i used Lush's caca noir, and decided to switch to powdered henna and inidigo after a few aplications of that, mainly because i want getting a dark enough color. I'm going to have a friend come over and help me with my hair tomorrow, so I mixed the henna tonight to allow for a dye release, and it turned brown. All the picutres I've ever seen of people using henna, its alway green when it goes on the head. Is this normal? is it still alright to use? I'm going to apply indigo over it, so I'm not concerned with getting a vibrant red.
Sorry if this is just a dumb question everyone should know... I'm new at this.

It's dye release. Mine always turned kinda brown. Put a dab on your wrist for a few minutes, rinse off, if it leaves an orange stain, you have dye release.
