hmm your not supposed to gain shedding with oils, maybe neeli oil is just not right for you? Or maybe your scalp got used to the old routine when you tried something new it made your scalp go crazy?
I say stick to whatever gives you less shed
Hi,
I bought the neeli oil and used less than 2 ml on my head and I had massive shedding. Already my hair was shedding and it got reduced because of switching to herbs and kalonji oil. I was about to crying .. Again after 4 days I used little bit less than 2ml on my head and shedding more than 80 hairs. I litrally counted them. Can somebody give me some suggetion. I really want to use Neeli oil. Anyone know how long the shedding will be there?
Thanks in advance.

Maybe just stick with the Kalonji oil. . .that's been working for me.
But I also quit brushing and combing my hair. When I shampoo, I towel dry and then finger fluff. . .not even finger combing. I totally ignore the tangles. I let my hair dry naturally, air dry. Then there are no tangles. It's pretty amazing but works for me better than combing. I am losing a lot fewer hairs using this technique and the Kalonji and Brahmi Amla oils on my scalp.
Keep posting your progress. . .I just know it's going to get better for you soon!
Also which Neeli oils are you using? Some have not so great ingredients in them (I'd avoid the KPN one).
Good ones are Kama Ayurveda and KOTTAKAL (Kerala) brands. There may be others.
You might also have an allergic reaction to one of the ingredients. It's always best to test oils on your skin (inner elbow) at least 24 hours before using it on your scalp. If you have a reaction, this is not the oil for you.

Thanks Ladies you have very supportive to me.
The one I got it from India, mall of coimbature. It does have anjanaikal, I bought it and thought till I finish the oil I will use it, but it is going to be vain. I have done a test on my skin and it was good but the scalp it gives me problem.
I have to stop this because it gives massive amount of shed. I head Neeli oil will give shed in the beggining but not expected this much. Today I have ordered neeli oil from Trihealth will be expecting sometime next week will see weather that works for me.
I will update you guys.
I'm so sorry to hear this! I know your frustration as I've gone through massive sheds too. One thing I can say is that oil on your scalp isn't always a good thing, it can clog the follicles and make them fall out-- that happened to me when I put olive oil on my scalp. I would avoid oil on your scalp, period, at least until you stop shedding. And if you must comb or brush, don't do it when it's wet! I made that mistake.
Keep us posted, I hope your hair grows back better than before

Interestingly, I'm the opposite when it comes to scalp oil. I have dry sebum that will coat the scalp and clog the follicles if I don't use and oil to dissolve it a bit to it moves down the hair.
If you're having massive sheds from all oils then yes oil on scalp is not for you. If it's just one oil then another one may be better.

Hi briraj -
as mira-chan says, if ALL oils don't suit you, don't use any of them. If any one particular oil is better than the rest, then go ahead and use that one only.
If you are using Neeli oil, try using it (2 or 3 drops) in pure sesame or coconut oil, depending on the oil base of the Neeli oil. This will make your scalp get accustomed to the Neeli oil. Later you can increase the amount of the Neeli oil, if all goes well. Otherwise try to use only the oil, which has better effects.
Also there may be increased shedding when switching to a new oil.
I hope it gets better soon!
Briefly off topic, but Diamondbell i love your new avatar pic!
Anyway, i've had this massive shedding issue with the hesh bhringraj oil, not if i use it consistantly, but initially if i've had a break from it for a while then go back i shed handfulls, it's scary. The odd thing is that though it causes that initially, when i did use it consistantly over a period of months my hair grew much faster and my thickness increased by about 150%
I do agree with others though, if it keeps causing massive sheds then consider using a different oil
The heart would have no rainbow, had the eyes no tears.
Hi Ladies,
Thanks for you support. I did not have this much shedding with any other oils (I use homemade oil with herbs & kalonji oil) This one is giving me sheds a lot. Becuase of oil I never had shed before. I used to oil a lot from the beginning. It is sacry to see this much sheds. I am going to stop this and see my sheds have comeback down. Already I used only 2 times. As Chole drama said initially it will shed and start gworing more soon but I am afraid to take that risk as already I have very thin hair.
