    Question Essential oils, question?

I am wanting to mix a fragrance up that I can wear daily. I would like to know what a good carrier oil would be for it...also I would like to try wearing it in my hair

Something unscented but good for skin?

Also, do essential oils have a flavor at all?

(I am looking for a vanilla scent that is more like a baked good scent. Warm and appetizing. Also a bright zingy orange scent to mix with it. Yum, warm vanilla orange creamsicle!!)

I don't think EOs are meant to be taken internally...

I think Jojoba Oil is a good carrier, because it's what all the diluted oil blends at my natural food store use as a carrier. Have you tried soaking vanilla beans in oil to make your own vanilla essence? Personally, if I were making a perfume for my body, I would soak it in vodka, but you don't want to put alcohol in your hair. You could even try steeping vanilla bean and orange peel...

I think she means that she wants something unscented and good for skin as a base for the fragrance. Then she'll add her EOs to scent it for everyday use.

I don't mean to eat the EO's on purpose...but if they do happen to taste good my husband might notice...or my lick happy dog!

    You're spot on!

I will check out some Jojoba. I normally use coconut, and love it, but I am tired of smelling like coconut all the time

Mostly I just want to scent the oil I will be using as a hair/body oil

Jojoba is nice! I have refined coconut oil, it doesn't smell like anything and isn't liquid at room temperature, but it gets creamier if you add other oils to it. You could make a "perfume cream" out of it. That's probably easier to dose.....

The British school of Aromatherapy does say that essential oils are not meant to be taken internally but the French school says it's fine! I take them internally but I only use one brand for such purpose.

Jojoba as carrieroil, and what about sweet almond oil? That's used for massage. Even sunfloweroil can be used I think.
