Default How do I make a catnip rinse/treatment?

Title kinda says it all. I snagged some organic catnip today at the local farmer's market and I'd love to try it!

ktani, in the article, you don't specify between fresh and dried catnip. The organic pet store where we get our dog stuff has potted catnip plants, and I was thinking of getting one, as I've had success using catnip as a between-washings rinse. Are the measurements the same, or should I up the amount by some factor to take into account the extra water in fresh herbs?

I have never used or had fresh catnip available to me and if I did, I would dry it to preserve it for later use. There have not been any reports on using fresh catnip that I can recall offhand, to help you with the measurement question.
