The chain bun (http://www.network54.com/Forum/24246...4082/chain+bun) doesn't involve any twisting either.
Thanks for posting this. My hair really doesn't like twisting either so this list will be very useful to me.
lil_irish_angel - thank you for the suggestion! I've added it to the list.

maria_asa - takk! I've added it.
I'm glad this list can be helpful to more people. Our hair actually looks quite similar, except for the amount of wave.
...Chain bun! I had thought about trying to essentially do a chain stitch with my hair before, but had never gotten around to sorting out the hand movements properly. I like it.
I appreciate you organizing buns, very helpful. I can't wait till my hair is long enough to wear these buns.
Laurel32 - you're welcome. Not all of these styles are buns, though. Depending on how thick your hair is, you can do some of these with just 19" of hair.
Great list!
Someone recently posted a version of the Chinese Bun starting with a braid instead of a ponytail; I can't wait to try that!
I'm having trouble finding the thread, I'll post it here as soon as I do.
After 7,5 years of silvering dreadlocks, back to loose, fine, straightish hair.
Fresh Hennahead and loving the red!
Hedera - thanks for mentioning that. I found the thread and updated the first post.
Oh, good!
I was looking for something with the word 'braid' in the title, but of course that didn't work.
