"Search and Destroy" It's a method where you look through your hair and just trim splits that you see rather than trimming off all of your ends. The idea is that you keep more of your length than with a microtrim or trim while still getting rid of some damage.

OK, That's what I have been doing the last 6 months. I do it whenever the ends start to feel dry.

I microtrim every 6 weeks. Even so, I still get my .5"/month average growth. Plus always perfect straight hemline and healthy ends. I S&D weekly but rarely find anything wrong.

80 cm as of 9/22. Hoping for some length gain next month. And impatient me likes measuring in centimeters better than inches because I gain them faster.

24.5cm two days ago! I am now 18 months out from my head shave so that means I'm averaging about 1.3cm per month. Pretty much average.

I'm just getting started, having cut off a ton of broken off, mangled mess. My hair is to my chin, and basically -- it all has to go because it's fried to the top. I got rid of the worst of it and I'm going to S&D it all the way to my shoulders, then do 1/4" micro trims until all of the damage is gone. Then it's all natural haircare from here on out: henna, exploring CO washing/shampoo bars to see what works best for me, nourishing misters, and supplements are the name of the game.

35" now...been stuck at 31-34" for a few years now. Just started taking biotin supplements regularly and have seen some extra growth from it!

My length is about 28.5" or 72.5cm. I just started tracking a month ago and am planning to keep up with monthly trims to help even out my hemline, and reduce split ends. I'm hoping to get a couple more inches of growth this year, including trims, and end up at waist length.
