If you had your choice and could design your own hair products, what scent would you like best and want your hair to smell like?
Perfume is comprised of several notes but generally understood to have 4 general/typical bases. Anyway, we have so little choice in what poo or conditioner smells like. If you could have a choice what would you choose and why? I like them all but would love to have options for all of them depending on my mood. ![]() Last edited by WaimeaWahine; March 3rd, 2009 at 06:29 AM. |

I couldnt possibly answer - I like so many different ones. The easy way to do it is to buy unscented products and scent them yourself. Neals Yard sells unscented conefree stuff and if scent was my primary consideration I'd buy them.
I find a good way to scent is to use something like a few drops of BPAL oil in a mister of filtered water or in some unscented leave-in. I usually go for vanilla based scents but things like tuberose, jasmine or gardenia go well with vanilla.

I love gardenias and strawberry...maybe both at once! ![]()

Definitely oriental/spicy for me. I have an EO mix that I use in all my DIY hair products and it is just divine. The smell lasts for days.

99% of the time i smell like vanilla if i smell like anything. but not "vanilla breeze" or "vanilla musk" or "vanilla [fill in the blank]"--just straight, sweet, warm vanilla.
but if not, i tend to prefer herbal scents (rosemary is a good one). coconut is great too.

I would say fruity, but I like a lot of spices too.

My Belladonna BPAL. I love earthy herby scents and most the things out there 1) smell like food or 2) smell like flowers.
