I said the original post that it doesn't flatter hair, but it does make it look relaxed. But better this than any heat styling or chemical relaxing IMO.
I think the word you're looking for is "flatten". Am I right? Your English is quite good, Heidi.

No, I did meant flatter, as in 'compliment'.
    Thank you.

Soft hair that is nice to sit on - now I'm bragging!

    Hi Plainjanegirl!

I comb my hair while wet. Thank you very much for the air drying opinion... lately I have been air drying, just because I was too lazy to do the crown wrap and it took my hair SOOO long to dry while in the crown wrap that I got impatient and took it down while still a tad damp... so, perhaps my results of Heidi's crown wrap weren't as good or smooth as they could have been if I would have been more patient and allowed for a complete air dry while in crown wrap.

My sister used to use mega curlers to get straight hair..... The size of cans she would pin the hair up and let it dry. It did a good job, even though she had major curly hair. We didn't use hair dryers just air dried it and it worked okay. Just another method to try...

Actually, this has been suggested to me before and I'm actually interested in trying it. Thanks!

Very well explained Heidi!! Thank you so much!!
I've never been able to do it due to poor explanations and poor manual skills... I find your way of wrapping hair the easiest!

I just tried the wrap-around-the-head method and I was able to tweek it to work for me. The results were pretty good, and will be better once I get the hang of it. It's weird, though; My right side is fine, but my left is still a little curly. Meh, I figure it out.
