I'm jealous of women with dark hair and beautiful gray streaks & pieces! Go you!

Haha, yes, I know - you are totally right! :-)

I am so eager to see how it will look, I just purchased online some gray clip-in extensions! Aren't I crazy? If they look decent at all, I'll post pics when I get 'em!! :-) I might later want white ones, but we'll see!

I posted this lady (taken from a French magazine) on the old board:

[It's an interesting legal question, but if it's a photo that I took of a magazine page, how does that stand, copyrightwise? I can't link to it because it's not on another site. It's in my photo file on my computer.]

I'm growing in silver streaks at the temples - seemingly on both sides.

    Wow!! What a gorgeous braid!!

I have been doing some research to find pics (it's hard!!!). I came upon this other forum discussing "Why do some women refuse to color their hair?" (argh!!)

    http://www.city-data.com/forum/fashi...use-color.html

Be warned, it is rather aggravating...

I keep coming across the idea that people stop dyeing because they can't afford it - I hope that's not the message I'm sending to people when I let my hair go natural. I want people to say "Wow - what totally hot hair!!!" Not "Guess she stopped caring about her looks" or "Guess times are too tough for her to keep it up!"....y'know?

I think what might help is to continue henndigo'ing just in certain areas (I guess they call that "Lowlighting"?) to make the gray/white look intentional and hip. So maybe I should continue dyeing right in front of each ear? That white spot always looks funny to me since the top of my hair is still almost totally dark. Also I noticed that in the pics I posted of gray streaks, they all start from the top, not at the ears.

Isn't it ridiculous that women have to be so concerned about letting ourselves be natural????

Millie, you might like the web site, Going Gray and looking Great. It has been the best support for me in growing out my henna and letting my gray grown in.

Thanks Fireweed! Is that this one?

Check out this cute look - a white streak with some blue added - smokin'!! I think I could definitely work with something like this, especially considering I work in a rock & roll music store!

P.S. Here's another white streak dyed blue (not natural of course but cool!!):

If I was older I'd be proud of my grays. But as it stands, I'm only 20 years old and have been going gray since I was 14. I get so embarrassed when the grays are not dyed over because I always get odd and mean looks from everyone. They all think there's something wrong with me.

I hope to have your courage one day I love silver hair.
