Most times a statement like this says more about the person who makes it, than about the person itīs addressed to.

Donīt worry mellie. Just put that comment into the same drawer with statements about striped tops. "Oh, those stripes accentuate your curves." Can be anything from a nice compliment to suggesting a boob job or a diet .
There will be always people who will talk more than they should , just ignore it.

I've never known hair color to negate that, and I consider myself an expert in this area!

The greatest personal limitation is to be found not in the things you want to do and can't, but in the things you've never considered doing Richard Bandler... my blog

I read somewheres that you shouldn't think of grey hair as old, but just as another color of hair. Thats what I've been thinking watching my roots come in . Also, I think most look better with their natural color hair, and if thats salt and pepper, then thats probably what looks best.

Unfortunately I'm already starting to waffle on this....someone mentioned how much "younger" I look without the silvers. Does that mean I look "old" with them??? Sigh....

That's true - why is it so wrong for us to actually look our age? Why is youth considered better than wisdom?

I read somewhere that society appreciates most what is hard to get. Like, back in the times when many people didnīt have enough to eat a full figure was considered beautiful (think the stone ages and the Venus of Willendorf figurine). Likewise it is possible that while back when old age was rarer than it is today it was considered a feat to have made it to a certain age, these days it is easy to be old and fat but hard to be young and thin, so those are the things todayīs society covets. Does that make sense?
