I believe you. As I've mentioned in the other thread, I also once found a "queen of split ends" and was truly amazed! If only I would have thought about taking a picture then!

I haven't found any impressive ones lately but here's one of mine. It's a challenge to photograph these guys.

Love it! They are super hard to get a clear photo of haha. When I went to take the 2nd picture I posted, I was trying to take a picture of it before I took it off my head. I was sitting there juggling my phone, my scissors, the hair, and trying not to pull on it when I realized.... I can just cut it off!!

Lighting makes it hard for sure. Thanks for sharing!

I was taking down my cornrows today and found this:

Ssks are a type of split for us curly girls. I find they often happen for me when shed hairs, instead of falling away from the whole head (because they really can't), wrap around the end of a strand that is still attached. The shed hair might then break off, leaving the end of it still wrapped around another end I then have to cut off.

Oh I dread these, especially the double and sometimes even triple ssks! But they sure are satisfying to snip!

I get these all the time around the perimeter of my head on my little short hairs that can't fit into my twists! 3 and 4 knots down the strand, sometimes knots on top of knots. So annoying. And would you believe I've actually found hairs this badly knotted, dropped them on the way to get the scissors and couldn't find them again! Then I had to go to sleep that night knowing something like this was just sitting somewhere on my head wreaking more havoc, making more knots.....
