Why though? Is it the combination?? I thought a lot of people did that! :x Then again, I'm not really into putting baking powder on my head so I guess I'm not going to do that XD But still, the ACV seemed to have worked well
Although it smells
Baking soda and vinegar is a very very very bad idea.

The combo is bad. Separate is different. One person on a different thread practically had her hair melt form it if I read correctly.
Have you ever made one of those fake volcanos with baking powder/vinegar!?! if so, why would you wanna put it on your hair!!!!. The reaction produces a pretty toxic gas which i'm guessing would be so acidic/drying on the hair. Please reconsider!!!!. It also probably wouldn't be good for your color!.
I am not a fan of putting baking soda in my hair, period. It is designed to open up your cuticle. Even tap water is more alkaline than hair. It always shocks me that this is so widely endorsed. I really don't understand how anyone could NEED that level of cleansing. Wouldn't it be better to use a regular shampoo?
I loveeeeee ACV on the other hand. I only need a tablespoon or so! It works wonders. Note: ACV does not remove cones. I have VERY hard water, and I use a mix of ALS shampoo + ACV + cheapie condish for my clarifying. It works really well. A plain ACV rinse always boosts shine, reduces frizz, and makes my hair curlier some how.

Uhh fake volcanos??? No sadly enough I was never awesome enough to make fake volcanos hehe!
Okay thanks guys I had NO idea that you could make FAKE VOLCANOS with that combo? I even read on the internet (not here) that people used both :x I just assumed that it was the thing everybody did when they're not using shampoo and stuff o_O
Or are you guys talking about MIXING them together?? Because I never meant that, that just sounds crazy lol :P
Thanks
(The baking soda was just a thing I thought about but I never really intend to actually use it, it seems like such a hassle :x Plus not that great for your hair apparently!)
Hahahaha!! yes, we used to make them in primary school for science class.... this is what it looks like!!!.....
I'm not a fan of baking soda either and I can't stand the smell of vinegar. But once or twice I did use baking soda (experimenting), 1/4 tablespoon mixed with regular shampoo, my hair came out really really shiny. Baking soda doesn't remove cones either.
I've used baking soda to clarify if my scalp felt really built up. I might try tea tree oil instead.
