I much prefer the vented wet brush to the paddle versions; can be used on wet or dry hair, and it is feather-light and flexible.

I tried it again this evening and it glided through my hair like a hot knife through butter! Tomorrow is wash day so I'll try it on damp hair then.

The friend who gave it to me bought it in the UK, she has one herself and loves it, her hair is APL. To be honest, I am rather looking forward to using it again.

It does! I just used it to detangle after washing My one complaint about it would be that I don't like the shape of the handle much, it makes it easy to drop it.
