It's that weird blob at the top that always forces my combs, pins, and sticks to shoot out and across the room. The ficcares just drag everything sideways before snagging and breaking some hairs off.

I keep trying, though. Perhaps a miracle will occur one day.

French Braid Ponytail (small scrunchy) to walk in the wind; will switch it to a half up with a 1928 Jewelry Barrette for Church and dinner tonight.

High cinnabun with sticks, same as yesterday. I tried yesterday vpatt's method and it didn't work for me; it gave me scalp cleavage at the crown (where I have cowlicks). The crown area is a pebble in my shoe, so to speak, but usually bunning keeps it under control. I was surprised to see yesterday when I came home from work, that I had ugly parting at the crown - of course my desk is situated so in relations to the door of my office, that everyone have seen the back of my head. Not that I believe people look, notice or care, but it makes me feel better about myself when my crown area behaves (and I do notice such details in other people). I will stick to my old methods, they work well for me.

Always behave like a duck -
keep calm and unruffled on the surface but paddle like the devil underneath.

I believe you can do it! The 3-strand braid, also called an English braid is the easiest to many people.

Thanks, we'll, it's rough going right now.
