Wash Day, Day 1, Day 2, Day 3....
Wash Day, Day 2, Day 3, Day 4...
I only number cheese!
Since i mostly wash before going to bed, the day after when i wake up is always day 1 for me.
Once a week as a guideline probably leaves less room for interpretation in my case.
I wash my hair every Sunday, so I just observe my hair with the days of the week.
Nah, there is no Day 0 for me, especially as I might wash my hair at the end of the day, and have it dry by morning.

I am mostly NW/SO except in hot summer when I might be WO. I do rinse my scalp in summer every now and then, but hardly ever wash or wet the length. If I get something really icky in my hair I will pour extremely diluted something (shampoo if there is some here, dish soap if there is not) over my hair and let it run down the length.
When I was young I do not think this would have worked, for I was a grease-ball and regularly got little zit places along my hairline, ick ick ick.
I don't count the days...I just randomly will wash my hair when my scalp feels like it needs it, which is usually once or twice a week and oftentimes varies what day of the week (so for example, one day my scalp may feel it is ready for washing on Friday, then another time on Thursday or Wednesday), so I don't really keep track of exact days or times.

Mod hat off. Mod hat on. Don't make me wear the mod hat, it messes up my hair. *grin*
I count washing day as day 1 (and usually wash in the morning).

keep calm and unruffled on the surface but paddle like the devil underneath.
I always go Wash Day, Day 2, Day 3...
