Whatever I have previously looked at before coming to this site gets advertised here. The exact same thing. For a while I just thought it was a fluke thing but it's not.
Do we have spy cookies given to us from this site?
It certainly appears this way. It's kind of creepy!

The naughty mess says, "I plead innocent!"
Should have kept your snaggles off the keyboard and plead the 5th.
Yeah that makes sense. Thanks for the explanation.
If you have Firefox get no-script or adblock or something of the like and you won't see the ads. Simple.
Alternatively, wait til you get some of the really weird ads because you're browsing the site while at work. I've gotten some for cell culture media. XD

Dear Google Ads: Please stop wasting your time advertising things to me that I either already bought (I'm not going to buy a second of the exact same thing) or I looked at once and then wandered away from (I already decided not to buy it). I know you have the potential to guess what it is I might want, so why do you insist on showing me about weight loss and shampoo after I've told you I'm not interested.
Sheesh. Target can guess you are pregnant before you tell anyone. I'm still waiting for Google Ads to show me indie products before I see them on Boingboing, not after I've clicked through. But even then, I'd prefer seeing banner ads for those things than for hair products.
No, I'm not going to use ad blocker, I find the attempts at personalized ads much too crude and amusing and I want to be aware when they do eventually become subtle.

Mod hat off. Mod hat on. Don't make me wear the mod hat, it messes up my hair. *grin*
The other thing to remember is : Google Ads helps pay for this site.
