Question Which honey worked for you? (Lightening)

    Hi guys,

There are so many posts on here about using honey for your hair, so I just wanted to post a specific one to ask which honey (brand, type, etc) worked best for you personally to lighten your hair?

    Thanks!

    Always save bear.

Pshaw, I have used store brand plenty. It's all bee vomit. So long as it's pure honey and not *honey syrup* or any other weird flavors/additives, you should be good. (I just use mine for casual sunstreaks, though.) Anything else is marketing and personal preference. There is a difference in flavor, smell and consistency when different flowers are used, but you can't taste it in your hair. =P

I actually use local grown honey. Cheaper where I live than in a supermarket, plus organic.

Cool thanks for the replies! Yea I just grab any 100% pure honey jar at the supermarket. I read in some places about raw honey being better or about adding hydrogen peroxide and what not to it, it all seemed so complicated!

Nope, once the honey is diluted, its natural enzymes kick in to start producing its own peroxides... I would not add any. Good luck! The added benefit is that honey gives my hair lots of gloss and makes it softer, too. =)
