How old were you when you started graying?

i voted for under 18. I was about 13-14 when i found my first few. I think trauma and illness might have triggered those. When i reached 28 i noticed a sudden increase, mine are actually white

I was 21 when I noticed my first couple. My father began going grey when he was 16.

I have a good number of greys/silvers now though

I was around 36 when I noticed my first gray. I am now 58 and have very few grays - some at the temples and a few coming in on top. In my family we gray very S L O W L Y. My mother is 98 and still has some brown hair mixed in with her grays. Her mother lived to be 96 and still had black hair mixed in with her gray. So going gray does not depend just on when you start.

My DH would love me to be totally gray. Sorry, guy. Not gonna happen soon, if ever.

I started off with a few at28, like Leisha, but now at 34, I have quite a few more and they are consistently coming in. I henna the roots weekly, as they are mostly in my temples where I get scalp cleavage!

37, only about 12 hairs right now. My medium ash brown turned to blonde then white. There was never a gray stage. Even the white right now often looks blonde except that in bathroom. In the sun the look blonde but I know otherwise. Lol however, I recently hennaed so they are rose tone now.

I too notice many of my hairs going from dark brown to golden and then they slowly go white in the same strand. Not fun, especially after my fourth baby, they've come on with a vengeance.

Wow! Such interesting results! I was guessing the vast majority would be 30-40. I don't have very many, just a few scattered throughout, and they're very white so I like them

I'm 38 and I only have three or four persistent gray hairs.

My mom was 69 when I saw her first gray (last year!).
