posting a pic

I'd like to post a pic on the swap board but I'm not sure how to do it. Here goes nothing!

When I go to the pic in photobucket I can copy a direct link. Am I allowed to do that? IMG doesn't seem to work.

That's fine. Odd that the img tags don't do anything. Are you sure you're grabbing the bb code?

I think I am but I've never been very good with computers, so I might have been copying the wrong thing. I'll try it again and if it doesn't work I'll just use the direct link. Thanks for helping out Lapushka!

You're 90% there! If you go to the page you linked to, you'll see a "Get embed codes" below the picture. You'll want the BBCode one, which has those IMG tags you used, but around the URL for the picture itself (.jpg).
