It looks like the link you tried to use was invalid (trying to put it directly in a browser resulted in an error as it couldn't resolve), which may be why things weren't working.

If you find a direct link that only goes to a picture when put into a web browser, and for quality checking it ends in a file type (.jpg, etc.), try sticking it in between [IMG][/IMG] tags and see if it shows up.

Hi there! I am completely new to LHC. Does this mean I cannot post pictures until i am at 25 or more posts? I am unable to post pictures at the moment.

Here is the list of User Permissions

I believe you can post pic from an outside source (photobucket etc), but you can't start an LHC album until you have 25+
