I look foward to your sharing knowledge of historical hairstyles for long hair. I tend to get my updo ideas from historical styles rather than the modern single bun variations. Welcome!
Hi all,
I've been lurking for a while, but I thought I'd introduce myself. When I was young, I had some of the longest hair of my classmates. I think my first haircut didn't happen until I was about 6. Despite that, and all the damage I've done to it in the years since, I've always admired my long haired friends and relatives. And boy, do I have a lot of those. See, I'm the granddaughter of an ex-Amish woman, so all the female relatives on that side have insanely long hair. I'm also a history nerd, so the ability to do historical hairstyles has always appealed to me. I've been growing my hair out for a few years now, trying for tbl.
Anyway, thanks for letting me ramble on, I look forward to learning from you all.

Welcome!
Entangled: thanks for that, I just checked her stuff out. It looks a little outside of my historical comfort zone, but I may give some of them a try. Arum: Yeah, I'm about as history nerd as you can get, I used to do renaissance fairs, and met hubby through the SCA. Lapushka: Thank you!
