Your hair looks lovely to me. Not damaged (though, really it's hard to tell from a picture). A little frizz is normal and doesn't equal damage.

I agree with mariakatija, it's not going to be a disaster if you wear your hair in a peacock twist or down on occasion.

For me, I get the urge to wear a ponytail for a few days, so I do. Then I get over it and go back to buns. Also, my ends do feel more dry when they are in a peacock twist or ponytail, but it's not permanent.

When I was at waist, I varied my styles: sectioned double braided buns (and triple too), the Cameo bun, Heidi braids, and of course, my favorite, the Madora.

First of all, happy anniversary!

The LWB is my go-to bun. When I passed waist, buns became possible for the first time, and I fully enjoyed that! My hair is up in a LWB 6 days out of 7 right now, so... I change it up with the hairtoys. After all, there's not that much difference between buns, the buns that are do-able at my length/thickness level at least, so I have to change it up with the toys.
