BAQ henna is the powdered form of the plant. If a product is a "creme" then something else has been added to it. The question would be... what's added?
I've just been looking at ebay and came across something called henna creme. Has anyone heard of it or used it before?

That's what I thought, they don't list the ingredients of the product, i'm curious to know.
ingredients for henna creme:
Water, Natural Henna Extract, Alcohol, Cocoamphopropionate, Polysorbate 20, Propylene Glycol, Hydroxyethylcellulose.
i have no idea what those do. maybe someone can explain them. it's from a brand called colora. http://www.folica.com/Colora_Henna_Cr_d1215.html
i see the powders in the hair store i go to, and it's quite cheap, but i'm too chicken to try it out.
The alcohol might make it somewhat drying...I'm not sure what the other ingredients do. You might want to check Wikipedia on them.
Whatever those ingredients are, they are not henna. So, just be aware that they are a chemical product not a natural product.
I did a search and someone here used a Logona Henna Creme, which has similar ingredients. Here's the ingredients:
Here's their review of it:Aqua (Water), Alcohol denat.*, Bentonite, Glycerin, Maltodextrin, Beta Vulgaris (Beet) Root Extract, Lawsonia Inermis (Henna) Extract, Chamomilla Recutita (Matricaria) Extract*, Sorbitol, Xanthan Gum, Coco Glucoside, Algin, Citric Acid, Parfum (Essential Oil), Linalool, Limonene
Yesterday I used Logona Color Cream "Tizian" for the second time in five weeks. I'm starting to like that stuff. This is the first all natural henna based pre mixed dye I've used. It has some mild detergent so it feels a bit drying for hair that's used to C/O only. But it doesn't irritate my scalp, so that's okay.
Applied it to dry, dirty hair, roots (and eyebrows) only, covered with saran wrap and a towel, let sit for two hours, rinsed, C/Oed.
Pros (Compared to Logona's herbal hair colour powders or regular henna):
- no need to mix anything
- use only as much as you need straight from the tube and keep the rest for up to six months
- faster and easier application
- much easier to rinse
- easier to touch up roots only
- less messy
Cons:
- more drying due to detergent
- less colour variations
- doesn't make the hair feel thicker like regular henna does
- doesn't prolong time between washes like regular henna does
Since a tube lasts me about three root touchups I'm planning a pattern of doing that every two to three weeks, then a full application with powder dye every two to three months.
