Looks lovely, elvenelk! So shiny and the accent braid makes it look special.
I bunned my french braid today. It's long enough to make one full loop!
The french braid was only with two or three sections from each side after the start, so I was out of hair really quickly. This made the bun at a nice spot at the end of the french part. And it held perfect all day with just two u-pins.
<Insert something witty and clever here>
(my first post, hi everyone!)
I just got my first spin pins last night and just put my hair in a bun (not sure what kind to call it but I just twisted the hair and then looped it around itself) and left a chunk out for a braid which I wrapped around. I secured it with only spin pins, no hair tie (new to having and taking proper care of long hair) and it feels so secure but like my hair is going to stay attached to my head!
I already love the spin pins. So worth the money.
Hi, I wanted to bump this thread. My hair is getting long enough to need protective styles to prevent mechanical damage, but it is still too short for most styles. I have really slippery hair and have never gotten a stick to work for me, even at a few inches above BSL. Lately I've just been bunning it and securing with two ugly jaw clips. Someone gave me spin pins a while back, but I haven't gotten them to work. I haven't tried in a few months though.
I'll be following this. My hair is slightly longer than BSL, but still too short for most buns and braids I have found tutorials for. Right now my go to is to just do a low ponytail, but I'd love to find more ideas.
Hi everyone! I started this thread a long time ago, so I thought I'd say hi since its had some activity! I am a few inches from waist (my second time around! haha). If you have any questions, please let me know! I am not too active but I will try and check once a week :-)
