You’re right, my sticks look really different depending on what side is out.

    X-Posted in Lilla Rose thread:
Has anyone removed the stick from the flexi? There are a few flexis I’m interested in using with my own hairsticks. I’m a very rudimentary crafter, so my first choice would probably be to break off the stick rather than pry apart the flexi...but I’m open to either if push comes to shove.

I've been thinking about taking the stick off mine as I think that is part of the reason I don't like them. I plan to just clip it off with some metal bolt cutters.

Okay, so I just got a lot of 4 flexis off of eBay cheap! Thing is, I'm left-handed and two of them are specifically made for right-handed use. Soooo, I'm super interested if anyone took action on the previous suggestion to cut off the stick. I think I'm gonna try it when they get here. Just wanna know how it worked out for other folks.

Oh nice! I’m curious how it goes for you. I’m a lefty myself but it totally didn’t think about how some of them are right handed. And to answer your question, no I haven’t modified mine yet. I like your idea of experimenting on some cheaper ones!

Yeah, on the site now they sell left handed versions but most of the second hand ones are right handed. Every now and then a lot pops up on eBay that I'm interested in but usually don't get because of the left handed thing. This will be an interesting experiment.

Good to know The only one with a stick I have I bought at a renaissance fair. It’s modded now but I didn’t think of that when I attached the new center decoration. I’ll have to go back and look to see which handed it is.

This was a small North star I has already pried the center off of to make it lighter. I clipped it off with a pair of these: https://www.homedepot.com/p/TEKTON-1...3400/205585553

Super easy, hardly any force required. It was pretty similar to clipping a larger screw in half.
