The braided bun... It looks like it defies the laws of physics! There must be hair pins involved, right? If so, how many do you use?

No pins necessary! The bun is held in place as the wrapped length sits between the stick and the scalp. It holds really well and when I'm getting ready for bed I just take it down and replace the tie at the end with a scrunchie. Fast and easy.

Absolutely! I actually learned of them through trolleypup. They're not hair sticks, but steel chopsticks, and I got them here:

They are seriously, exceptionally cheap! I use the small ones and they're plenty big enough for what I usually do as seen in that post you quoted. Good luck damaging them, too. I bought the master set so if I ever somehow need a medium then I have one, but ultimately because I have some smalls for my hair and the rest for the utensil drawer in the kitchen.
