ashke50 - Wooow, the dark angel, I remember finding their page almost ten years ago and being totally mesmerized by the gowns. I think my love for velvet was born in that instance and it's still passionate. Your green top looks so nice and casual in a very elegant way!

I'm going to see the movie tomorrow.. I was gonna wear my golden metallic tights and gold jacket and be in this position all the time. (I would be the ring if that wasn't clear)

But I gave that up thanks to slight back pains, so I might make try wearing my Saruman's Tower Top headpiece instead

For a gymnastics show I made a gymnast wear it, it was taped onto a bike helmet at the time. He and his friend had to wear black clothes and I made him stand on his friend's shoulders as they were supposed to 'be' the tower...and there were another pair with Sauron's eye tower on top.
    Ser helt fantastiskt ut!

The side: The light makes it look like a have a bald spot lol. I guess my really tall ears came in handy in making me look more elvish

I'm going to see the movie again with friends when one of my friends gets back after the end of the school semester. I saw it last night though and it was beyond awesome! Benedict Cumberbatch did great as Smauge! I couldn't figure out how the e elves were securing their hair though. Tauriels fishtail had a metal bead, but Legolas' side braids I have no clue.

After consulting my many Legolas posters I have come to the conclusion that it has never been obvious how those braids of his are secured. Mostly because not many pics actually show the full length of the braids, most of the time the ends are hidden.

By the power of google I have found several pictures that show the ends completely unsecured (and slightly unraveling, but those are mostly post-battle pics so that is to be expected) and a couple that show a lock of hair wrapped round the end. This is presumably being done to hide whatever modern method has been used! lol

Sounds about right to me! Makes sense to. Just makes ever doing them in a uthentic manner more time concuming. His side braids where french braids this time instead of lace braids. Which was nice to see. Elves apparently do change signature styles, though most not as much as Elrond apparently.

The green top/dress I'm wearing is from The Dark Angel - I love their stuff! I got my bridesmaids dresses from there.
I am ordering the same top in purple!
