If I'm deep-conditioning my hair for the night with coconut oil, I wear it in two pigtail braids. I tried one english braid, but that actually made it frizzier? Maybe because I like to toss and turn from my side to my back all night.
I generally always braid it when I sleep now. Usually a single braid to the side kind of, since my hair is too long to pull straight back and braid, I can't really bend like that.
Either that or I do two braids on each side, I feel like that way seems to work a little better, since otherwise with the one braid, my hair not in the braid on the top can get loose while I move around in my sleep and break hair off. I try to just throw it over the back of the pillow so this doesn't happen though.
I will sleep with it loose and throw it over the pillow if it's wet, but I generally shower after I wake up so this isn't much of an issue.
I used to only sleep with it loose but it's *always* tangled badly in the morning, and since my hair got past my hips it's been worse, so usually it is always braid before bed.
A bun until it falls out.
I usually do a single low braid in the back but last night I tried a bun on top of my head (looks really silly) secured by two small clips, one in the front and one in the back and it was a success! It was comfortable and I wasn't getting stuck laying on my braid. Yay! Small triumph!
I wear my hair down when I sleep.

I pineapple.
I always tie mine back, does it damage it in any way? (Sorry if that sounds like a stupid question...)
