So you're growing the dye out like me, and are waiting for it to reach a certain point before you make that last cut where your hair will be au naturel colour. What length are you planning on cutting out the last of your hairdye?

It's all in the teeth of the matter.
I don't have dyed hair now, but when I did, I cut it all off when my undyed hair reached chin length. Majorly regretted it; if I did it now, I'd hold out until between shoulder and APL, so I could still tie it back.
I'm going to grow to my goal, which is tailbone length, and then maintain there until all of the dye is gone. My hair is all dyed up to APL so it's a lot to cut off at once .
I originally wanted to grow my hair to waist and maintain, but then my DBF started threatening me with a proposal and after I calculated when we were likely to get married, I thought well when we do I want my hair to be completely natural hair colour so it looks like it'll be BSL/APL.

I find this a difficult one, I have been growing the dye out since October 2010, and it is tailbone now.
my goal is classic for now and to stay there and maintain until the dye is out, but it might very well be that at BSL I decide to do a big chop anyway.
it is still years away unfortunately.
May 12th 2012, virgin hair back!
chin, shoulder,apl,bsl,waist, hip,tailbone, classic.
Hip length expected in January 2016.
I think I'll just let mine grow out. Eventually it'll all be trimmed out.
Waist, my hair dye is only about the length of a chin length bob. I'll grow it to classic, then chop to waist to get it un-brownie-fied.

I'm a super lurker!
I selected other. I am trimming along the way. 1" here, 2" there sort of deal. It has grown out and faded enough at this point that I will probably just let it grow for the majority of the rest of the year and then keep on trimming. I'll make a longer effort to maintain at TB but by that time, a majority of it will be gone.

I'm planning on maintaining at waist for a while (when I get there) until most of my henna is gone. Good thing my hair is natural red so the difference isn't too drastic, just oddly darker ends
