So sorry if there already is a thread on this but i don't see one, a link would be appreciated though


my hair is BSL atm but i'm getting it ut on saturday (splt ends and dye damage i want rid of asap! also fancy a change anyway), i was lookin through websites to see how much i can safely take off without my face lookng too bare, long at the forehead etc. i have a heart shape so feel safer with sde bangs so they're staying + it also said for my shape i shouldn't have long hair as it won't be flattern!

just wondering what shape face you ladies have and if you've heard anything like this?

I'm quite sure I'd have an oval face if I wasn't so thin, but right now I think my face is twice as long as it is wide (uh, mental picture does not look good xD).

Curiously, I "should" not have long hair, because if it is loose it "eats" my face making it look even thinner, and if it is up, then you can clearly see how thin it is... The fact is that I just don't mind: I hate bobs and half-short-with-lots-of-volume-cuts, so I'm keeping my long hair.

From the front, it's a little tiny bit on the octagon-ish side. It used to be a straight up circle when I was overweight, but that has changed dramatically, my glasses make a difference as well.

I have quite a round face. I've been told I can have long hair but should have lots of face framing layers. Yeah, not happening (I don't have enough hair! There would be nothing left after we cut the layers! ). I wear my hair the way I like it and don't worry about it.

I'm not entirely sure, though I think I'm heart shape as I've got good cheekbones and a pointy little "pixie chin". I just have to be careful if I scrape my hair back as I look a little severe and my forehead looks a little too big in comparison to my chin.

I think I have an oval face, but when I did the whole measurements thing (to determine face shape) it didn't work with any of the descriptions...

I have the same problem. Sometimes I look at it and decide its oval... and then a week later decide its round. I kinda gave up and decided it doesn't really matter.
ETA: I voted round today though
