I'm not entirely sure what my natural hair colour is any more - I've been colouring my hair for over 20 years now! I'm guessing a mousy brown if my sisters' hair is anything to go by. Until henna I was dying it with Schwarzkopf Live dye - the red is what resulted from switching to Red Planet after a couple of years using Cyber Purple.

That's the latest installment in my henna experience. This the colour after I did a whole head henna a couple of weekends ago, totalling 4 whole heads and maybe 3-4 glosses over the period of a year. The last two whole heads were done with Punjabi Prime. This was taken indoors with a flash, and this time the shine doesn't owe anything to 'cones

was this over totally virgin hair, or did you have previous chemical color? it looks GREAT, SO red.

This is what my hair looked like a year ago just before I henna'd. I had been using the Schwarzkopf XXL Live dye in a red I think it was, but I hadn't done is, well, lets take a look at a close up of the roots showing my natural colour...

That's about 2 or 3 months of growth there, showing my natural dull mouse brown (sometimes kindly called dark blonde!) colour.

I haven't had my hair cut in over a year now, so I would also say that you don't see much difference in tone between the dyed and non-dyed parts, maybe the ends are a little bit lighter, but only if you look really hard.

I wanted to show off how my hennaing is coming along... I'm totally in love! I've been hennaing pretty often trying to build up the color to where I want it, and I think I'm just about where I want to be after five applications over previously highlighted hair with a couple inches of virgin roots. This is from today, in my big fat sock bun.

might be work enquiring how good the hold is.
I've used beet juice as well as Trader Joe's blackberry tea. LOVE.

It's amazing to see all the different results! When I used henna for my hair I got a nice light orange color (I am blonde) I will try to search a photo of me. I am waiting for my hair to grow and then I will use henna again, I am looking forward!

Everyone looks great! I'm looking into henna myself, maybe after my dark brown dye (Herbatint) fades somewhat and I have a bit of growth.
