Here's a picture of an extremely twisty 4-strand from last fall, before I trimmed, so ignore my scraggly ends.

Wow, what a coincidence, I just took a pic of my braid tonight!



It looks a lot fatter than usual because of a clay experiment gone wrong - in fact, that was why I took the pic, to capture this nice thickness for days to come.

How do you start at the front? For some reason, I always have trouble starting braids much more forward than my ears.

I started with a minuscule section of hair right at my part, and made sure to pull the braid tight enough to make it stay up there, and not slide down.
