Would you shave your head to support someone you love?

As a breast cancer survivor, absolutely not, since I'm not going through THAT again! Most cancer treatment centers offer free wigs or head coverings for each patient (at least the hospital where I was getting treated at did). It took three years to grow it back from bald to mid back length (which was the length I had before I lost it to chemo), so why would I want to go through that again? There are better ways to support them without doing something that you'll end up regretting (like buying them a chemo care package from Etsy, for example. I would have bought one for myself if I knew they had those).

I might offer if my hypothetical friend were really torn up over losing their hair, but I wouldn't do it on my own without checking in first. I've shaved my head several times before for no reason, and as much as I'm enjoying growing my hair out I wouldn't need much of an excuse to buzz it again, especially if my friend would appreciate the gesture. I don't think any of my actual friends or family would ask, though.
